The 2021 Bourgogne Aligote, reduced by frost, mildew and didium, was raised in used barrels and foudres. It has a light bouquet with touches of white peach, green olive and light leesy notes that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is well-balanced, with a twist of orange rind on the entry, tempered with a crisp, bitter orange finish and a pithy aftertaste. I wouldn't be surprised if this offers a decade's drinking pleasure.
