The 2022 Petite Syrah Hayne Vineyard is full of character. Earthy, floral and savory notes dominate at this stage, as do bright acids and searing tannins. This dense Petite, with terrific depth and textural intensity, is sure to be long lived. Yields were a measly 1.1 tons per acre.

The palate is full-bodied, powerful and characteristically dense, offering a blocky, opaque fruit flavor that melds with an intriguing, perfumed, energetic lift. The sheer class and authority of the Hayne site peer through here-albeit in a more glossy manner than found in other varieties-and finishes with a combination of chewy tannins, balancing acidity and decadent dark fruits.
